About the Program

In deeply poor countries, many teenagers do not attend school. Orphans often have younger siblings to care for. Others work to support their single mothers or parents with HIV/AIDS. Without an education, youth continue in the cycle of poverty.

Through our FootHills program in Malawi, we show teen boys and girls a way out. We build relationships with teenagers through sports. For those who compete on our netball and soccer teams, we provide sponsorships to cover their costs of tuition, uniform, and school supplies each year. In addition to school, FootHills students are provided mentorship, tutoring, and a weekly Bible study on the practice field. More than just academics, we teach them discipline, integrity, and how to follow Christ. When youth participate in this program, they begin to develop the skills they need to support themselves and their families.

Because of our FootHills sponsors, our students not only dream of a life outside of poverty, but they have the faith and resources to pursue it.

How will your sponsorship help?

Your financial commitment will pay for high school students’ tuition costs, along with tutoring, academic materials, sports equipment, and special event costs. Your gifts will keep youth in school, give them an opportunity to play, and teach them about Christ.
