Land of Moz Internship Opportunity (January 2025 - July 2025)

Position Overview: 

Children’s Relief International (CRI) invites passionate students to participate in a Land of Moz Internship from January to July 2025. This immersive internship includes one month of on-the-ground experience in Mozambique, from late May to late June working alongside CRI's local ministries. You will engage with life-changing initiatives that provide care for widows, support mothers, deliver baby nutrition, teach and disciple youth of all ages, and offer education, food, and holistic support to children and families in need.

As a part of this internship, you will participate in monthly cohort meetings, focusing on prayer, ministry planning, and field preparation. You will also dive deep into CRI’s core teachings, including our theology of poverty, missionary calling, and principles for cross-cultural ministry among the poor. You’ll perform relevant cultural research and get acquainted with Portuguese, the official language of Mozambique.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Life Widow Care: Assist in providing care and support to vulnerable widows through relational engagement, helping meet their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs.

  • Tessa Grace Baby Nutrition: Jump into the fight against malnutrition! Weigh babies and work with our programs that provide essential nutrition to infants and young children, offering support and education to mothers to help them provide better care for their babies.

  • Children and Youth Ministries: Strengthen Mozambican youth in sports and music programs, discipleship and Bible studies, and preschool and elementary schools, offering holistic care for preschoolers, young adults, and all ages in between.

  • Family Support: Engage with CRI’s broad network of ministries that support entire families, providing basic needs, education, and health resources.

Field Experience (May-June 2025):

During the month spent in Mozambique, you will work directly with local communities and CRI's partner ministries. You will have the opportunity to build relationships, capture stories, and experience firsthand the challenges and triumphs that come with sharing the light of Christ in Word and deed with those living in deep poverty. Your work will contribute to CRI's mission and make a tangible and faith-filled difference in the lives of those within our reach.

Location:

Remote – CRI Home Office in Rockwall, Texas (pre-field experience in January-May); Mozambique (on-field experience in May-June).

January 2025 - July 2025 (Monthly cohort meetings followed by one month in Mozambique)
